# Preferences

> Show and update your own notification preferences.

Preferences belong to the signed-in user. They need a signed-in session, so they do not work with an API key. For fields and response details, see the [API reference](https://apidocs.neetokb.com/api/my-preferences/get.md).

## Show your preferences

This command shows your preferences.

```bash theme={"system"}
neetokb preferences show
```

## Update your preferences

This command changes your preferences. It needs no extra permission.

```bash theme={"system"}
neetokb preferences update --monthly-reports-mail=false
```

| `--monthly-reports-mail` | `bool` | | `false` | Get the monthly report email (--monthly-reports-mail=false turns it off) |
